Zelenskiy describes the Russian delegation's peaceful negotiations as “decoration”

Muslims (Reuters) – President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Thursday that Ukraine will decide on the next step of negotiations with Russia after meeting with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.

Zelenskiy told reporters at Ankara Airport that the level of Russian delegation sent to Türkiye for talks was low-level and had unclear tasks.

“The level of Russia (the delegation) is not officially known to me, but from what we see, it looks more like decorative,” Zelenskiy said. “We need to understand what the level of the Russian delegation is, and the mandate they have and whether they can make any decisions.”

Zelenskiy said the Ukrainian delegation included his foreign minister's military and intelligence chief, as well as senior officials in his office.
