At the end of the abyss is when the Vest Islands encounter space horror

You’ll assume the latest game of the studio you’ve made Little Nightmare 2 It will be a little weird and dark, Chapter 9 The end of the abyss That’s it. However, description and explanation are also a bit easier: an atmospheric science fiction shooter with galaxy style exploration.
Although I played the demo in 2025 SGF 2025, while there was no shortage of Metroid to draw inspiration, what I could think of is alien. It may be a scanner, which the protagonist can use to collect information, discover hidden items and mark the details of the room for further exploration after obtaining a new skill or weapon. Mattias Ottvall, the game’s co-creator, praised my scan trend everythingwhich made me give me a few secret caches during the demo playback.
You also have to mark between the scanner and the gun often, as two monsters, spider-like little parasites and more friendly enemies whirl their minds towards you. Fortunately, the end of the isometric layout of the Abyss is paired with the ability to move and shoot each simulation stick. If things get a little too much, your character also has a very tolerant dive scroll.
After some early teething problems (scanning the alien zombies instead of shooting them down), the control settings ended up being second nature, and I got out of the alien golem boss’ way and shot the shotgun to the side. Unfortunately, the shotgun has limited ammunition (you can make and find it in the world), so I turned to the pistols in the distance.
A brief demo (and trailer) hints at a dark and shady atmosphere similar to the studio’s previous games. Naturally, when you explore this kind of bankruptcy facility, there is an occasional panic.
If you are really overwhelmed, the character is back in the world like a monster, but any unlocked doors and acquired skills can be saved. Even better, when you come across an exploration-centric game that you can’t interact with (e.g., a weak wall that can be removed or a security door that requires a key), scanning it in the game will “tag” feature on the menu map, making it easier to turn around and back once you need to make progress. During the demo, I unlocked the explosives to deal with the weak walls that were marked, but I also found the Grapple Hook fixture, presumably the back of the game.
Labels are a great option for those struggling to track their path in the huge vest game, though it depends on how spacious it is Entering the abyss It turns out to be. original Little nightmare It turned out to be short, but sweet escape – how deep will the abyss go?
Entering the abyss Coming soon to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
