BCCI's Rajeev Shukla ensures IPL is about to restart; no decision yet

Rajeev Shukla, vice president of the Indian Cricket Control Council (BCCI), said the final decision has not yet been restarted for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Shukla said BCCI officials are actively dealing with the situation and ensuring the game will start over soon.
“No decision has been made yet. BCCI officials are dealing with this situation. The game was suspended for a week and there was a ceasefire yesterday. … The event will start again soon,” Shukla told reporters on Sunday.
On Friday afternoon, the Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) announced that it had decided to suspend the rest of the ongoing IPL 2025 and take effect immediately due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
The match between the Punjab Kings and the Delhi capital at the Himaal Pang Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala was called in the middle of the first inning on Thursday. The audience was told to cancel and asked to evacuate the venues, while both teams were escorted back to their hotel.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said in an official statement: “The Council of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) decided to suspend the rest of the ongoing IPL 2025 and immediately effect for one week. In the consulting services in the field, further updates on the new schedule and venues for this match will be announced where appropriate and will be announced where appropriate.
