The 38-year-old Serbian superstar has long been one of the fittest men in tennis. The challenge for Djokovic is to maximize his fitness levels while playing far fewer matches than he has in past seasons and try to topple the two giants in Carlos Alcaraz and Yannick Sinner, who have combined to knock him out of the final three Grand Slam semifinals of the 2025 season.

Djokovic will apparently play the 2026 Australian Open without a warm-up tournament as he continues his pursuit of a record 25th Grand Slam title.
